The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed dates for the display of Preliminary Voter Register for verification from Tuesday, August 4th to Monday, August 10th for claims and objections and in the 27 Local Government Areas offices of the Commission in Imo State.
The exercise will afford citizens the opportunity to verify their information and request the correction of errors or omissions in their registration details in the contained Preliminary Register of Voters.
Citizens can also object to the inclusion of names of deceased and underaged persons or foreigners in the Preliminary Register of Voters for removal.
The Commission therefore requests all registered voters to take advantage of this opportunity and report inaccuracies to enhance the integrity of our National Register of Voters.
